The Outside   Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting for new customers and developing relationships with existing and new customers,  contacting prospects and following up with leads to build a solid customer base of reoccurring business, coordinate job walks and assist with customer bids and estimates to accurately price projects. The candidate will keep accurate records of customer interactions and document them in the company CRM. They will also assist in managing projects to minimize risk and ensuring an excellent customer experience.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Builds and maintains customer relationships to maximize the sales of Omega   Morgan services.
  • Represents the Omega Morgan brand in front of the customer
  • Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion,   and negotiation skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively and   remain calm and courteous under pressure.
  • Contact prospects and follow up with leads to build a solid customer base   of reoccurring business.
  • Estimates and manages projects to ensure Omega Morgan margin targets are   achieved.
  • Has a proven track record within the machinery moving/rigging or   heavy-haul, heavy-lift industries.
  • Has knowledge of heavy-haul, heavy-lift equipment and equipment   capabilities
  • Interfaces with internal resources in order to determine the best methods   to perform the project scope in the safest and most efficient manner.
  • Delivers proposals and negotiates commercial terms and scope with clients.
  • Coordinate job walks and assist with customer bids/estimates to accurately   estimate projects

 

 

GENERAL   REQUIREMENTS

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to multitask and manage large, ongoing and complex projects.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent 10 years of experience in sales, Machinery   Moving, Heavy Lift, and Transportation industries preferred.
  • A strong Safety Background as well as Project Management experience preferred.

 

Background Required:

  • Heavy Machinery Moving, Rigging and Millwright Equipment Industry (6 years)
  • Sales involving Heavy Machinery Moving, Rigging and Millwright Equipment (4 years)
  • Prospecting / Sales call to build solid customer base
  • Development of proposals and bids
  • Demonstrated Ability to Close Deals
  • Project Management
  • Excellent communication in English (i.e. verbal, written, presentations)
  • Computer literate: (Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and Database)
  • Education: High School Diploma

 

Background Preferred (but not required):

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Customer Resource Management (CRM) Software Sales Force
